Wrapping Up a Holiday Season post image

Today being the last day of 2013 I’m finally getting a chance to relax and reflect on the last few weeks.  I feel thankful that this holiday season at the shop was bustling, privileged to work with so many creative and talented people, and grateful for such an amazing team at Urbanic.  We wrapped our hearts out this season, prettying up gifts for our local Los Angeles Community and for some special projects as well.  First up is our wrap party with the 100 Layer Cake girls. – It was full of all the glitz and glam you could imagine!  – be sure to check out the full post here.

Next, the lovely Suzanne from The Chalkboard Mag contacted us for some wrapping tips and tricks along with some adorable ways to wrap, so we whipped up some of our favorite natural looks for this shoot and compiled a list just for you. To find out our favorite necessary tools, details that make a difference, and eco friendly household materials you can use, check out the full post in the mag.

Featured in Stationery Trends post image

Featured in Stationery Trends | Urbanic
We are so honored to be featured in Stationery Trends Magazine this month. This magazine is a stationery lovers paradise and is one of the few resource mags specializing in greeting cards, stationery and gifts. On pg. 50 of this Design Issue, you will find a four-page spread on Urbanic including a little panel of quick Q+As. One of the questions was, “If you were a stationery product, what would you be?” Took me a while to figure out my answer but, with the help of some of our staff members, the answer became very clear! If you’d like to read the full article, click on the image above.

A special thanks to Sarah, Kathy, Regina and everyone over at Stationery Trends for the amazing feature.

Also in press news, we were recently featured on Bowtie Optional + Well in LA + Lovely Indeed. Thanks everyone! We are always grateful for the nice words. xo

Well it’s the end of another eventful week around here and I wanted to share some fun news. We’re thrilled to be featured in Show Pony magazine this month! Joshua and I answered some interview questions on things like our inspiration when opening the shop, the balance of managing children with a business and how we stay a part of our community. The magazine’s tag line is “inspiration for the Creative Entrepreneur” and is all about just that! If you have creative dreams you should definitely check out this magazine. It’s packed with great stories, articles, interviews and photos of people and their small businesses that have taken the plunge.  Our interview is right here on page 92.  A special thanks to Rebecca and the whole crew over there at Show Pony.  We’re honored to be part of this issue.

happy weekend all!

Our Bridal lounge is featured on the Wiley Valentine Blog today! In case you didn’t know we had one, this is the little parlor in the back of the shop  where we sit down to meet with our brides and grooms to look at invitation options.  A ton of creativity takes place in this little room. Definitely one of my favorite parts of this job.  click here to read all about it.

A big thanks again to Rachelle for featuring us on her awesome blog!

Have you ever wondered what an entire day consists of here at Urbanic?  You can find out right here on the Wiley Valentine Blog.

Wiley Valentine was one of the very first companies I started working with when I opened Urbanic.  Over the years I’ve been lucky enough to become close with the W.V girls.  They have brought (and continue to bring) sunshine to many of my days.  When Rachelle asked me to do a guest post for her maternity leave, I was delighted at the opportunity to contribute to their amazing blog!

*A big and special congrats to Rachelle, Michael and baby Piper!*
